COVID Update: June 2021
Dear Valued Clients,
Please watch the video below and submit your preferences using the form below.
Dear Activate Clinic Clients & Families,
There has been quite a lot of confusion about how the new restrictions and mask rules will affect sessions at the clinic.
Here is a summary of how we will be interpreting and enforcing the recommendations in order to ensure maximum safety while also ensuring that we are still able to help you continue to manage your health.
- Our staff will be wearing masks at all times in the clinic (also note that our staff have all been fully vaccinated against COVID-19)
- We will check temperatures on entrance
- Our staff will ensure you check in using the Service NSW QR code
- If you have any cold & flu symptoms please do not attend your session until you receive a negative COVID test result
- We encourage clients to wear masks during their session if possible – we have masks available if you forget yours
- Clients who participate in indviudal sessions do not have to wear a mask during their session
- Clients who participate in group/shared sessions will have to wear a mask unless they are exempt (see below NSW health advice on exemptions)
- Clients who have disabilities or cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition are exempt from wearing a mask even in a group session
- We ask carers and family members to wait outside wherever possible to limit the number of people in the clinic
Premises that are used for the purpose of providing health services are not retail or business premises.
You are not required to wear a mask if you have a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, that makes wearing a mask unsuitable. For example, if you have a skin condition, an intellectual disability, autism or trauma, you are not required to wear a mask.
It may not be suitable for some people with disability to wear a face mask.
If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, you may wish to ask your registered health practitioner or disability care provider to issue a letter confirming this. However, this is not a requirement under the public health order.
You do not need documentary evidence stating that you are exempted from wearing a face mask under the public health order.
We thank you for your cooperation and really hope we can get past all these restrictions soon!
Thanks again,
Hany & the Activate Clinic Team
